Odeskabel brings the future in 5G Mobile Technology

5G enables a new kind of network that is designed to connect virtually everyone and everything together including machines, objects, and devices. Higher performance and improved efficiency empower new user experiences and connect new industries.

The term “5G” refers to the fifth generation of cellular mobile network technology. For most operators, commercial rollouts will not begin until 2021 or later. The main differences between 5G technology and earlier generations (1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G networks) are higher transmission speeds and higher efficiency. High speeds will support video transmission and new services. 5G technology is designed to help industrial companies to manage plant equipment more efficiently, and new services will emerge for cars and other vehicles, including communications for driverless vehicles.

Odeskabel’s experts expect 5G to be part of more radical changes in information and communication technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), increased use of cloud functions for more services, and the Internet of Things (IoT). 5G technology is an important part of new manufacturing processes. This means that there will be a demand for cables associated with the increasing capacity of data collection and processing centers, as well as the emergence of new local centers. The construction of new powerful data transmission networks needs optical cables for fast and powerful connections.

Odessa Cable Plant, one of the oldest enterprises in the cable industry in Ukraine, which celebrated its 70th anniversary last year, has been supplying modern fiber-optic communication cables to the market for more than three decades.

Specializing in the production of telecommunication cables, the Odessa Cable Plant has mastered and produces a wide range of power cables, wires and cords for various purposes, copper and fiber-optic communication cables, radio frequency, as well as digital or LAN cables that are in demand in recent decades, the range of which is the widest in the EU countries.

PJSC “Odeskabel” is the first and the only plant in Ukraine and on the territory of CIS countries, which introduced the technology for the production of fiber-optic cables, and for 34 years has been developing and producing their improved designs.

The plant produces all the main range of fiber-optic cables for telecommunications (with the exception of marine cables and ground wires (OPGWs) ), many years of experience, modern equipment, as well as successful long-term cooperation with leading manufacturers of materials allow the plant to guarantee high quality products.

Leading telecommunication companies have already been convinced in the high quality of the cables produced by PJSC “Odeskabel”. The priority direction for the company is the expansion of cooperation with foreign partners. In 2020, a representative office was opened in Romania, and work with the countries of Eastern and Western Europe is developing now.
